The Team India which won the first inaugural Twenty20 (T20) world cup held at South Africa earlier will meet the President of India and the Prime Minister at their residences respectively.
The Champs will pay a visit to the Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet the President Mrs. Prathiba Patil on Tuesday; there after they will call upon Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his residence. This visit has been long due since the New world champions arrived home to a jubilant reception in Mumbai, But the hectic schedule dint allow them to do so.
The team had to join the Australians for a 7 match ODI series and one off Twenty20 clash. The world champions of the respective formats proved them selves by trashing each other in their own dominant forms of the game. Australia won the ODIs by 4:2 and India went on to prove that the Twenty20 World championship wasn’t a fluke by trashing the Kangaroos at Mumbai by 7 wickets.
