Ponting Tips Clarke as Successor

The Australian skipper Ricky Ponting tipped Michale Clark as his Successor for leading the national team. The flamboyant right hander told the Australian press that “Clarke is the obvious choice. people have been talking about him as the next skipper and all the sort of stuff, We all hope that is the case and he keeps improving his game. If he does he will be one of the leading players in the world”.
The Skipper of the ODI world champion team expressed his desire to lead the team till the next world cup. He added that he is aware that many senior players of the team would be retiring in the near future, Gilchrist, Hayden, Hussey would make way for the new generation.
