Anil Ambani, Vijay Mallya, Airtel to bid for IPL Teams

ADAG chairman Anil Ambani, UB Group chairman Vijay Mallya are among the long list of  people willing to bid for owning the teams in the BCCI’s copy cat league the Indian Premier league (IPL). It is learned that Bharti Airtel, Few teams from the English Premier League , NBA  and few private banks are also in the race for owning the teams.

The Gladiator Movie fame Russell Crowe has also shown interest in owning a team from the league.  The bidding for the each of the eight teams in the IPL will start with a floor price of USD 50 millions.

The eight teams will participate in a season comprising of 56 matches, which end with a 3 match shoot out between the four top teams to decide the championship winner.
